    History of the recipe

Very often, the most exquisite recipes from the kitchen, have taken the name their creators, an example of this is the most famous Hungarian cake, made-up in 1884 by famous confectioner Jozsef C. Dobosh. It is a special cake containing five thin layers of spongy dough, between there spread with butter chocolate creams filling, and finished with a cover of soft of caramel.

The cake was first introduced in the National General Exhibition of Budapest in 1885 and acquired its reputation because its presence at this event, and tried by Franz Joseph I, Emperor of Austria and Elisabeth of Wittelsbach, Empress Consort, known as Sissi. After touring Europe and the West Indies through migration, preparing the cake was adapting to new ways and conditions of cooking, without losing its essential nature.

Nitza Villapol, the Cuban cooking teacher, published in 1981, nearly a century of being created the original recipe, a variation that allowed us to savor this delicacy from a new perspective and called it, Dobosh Tropical, keeping the name its creator and master introducing the difference of the tropics, it does claim to the residents and visitors, by the consumption of cold foods and quick to do.

We present a new variant of the original recipe: The Tropical Dobosh, created by Nitza in 1980. In this desert, she replaced the spongy dough by cookies dipped in fresh milk, and finished with a caramel cover, as Dobosh made hundred years ago.

We offer a desert to easy and quick preparation. You can enjoy this recipe with friends at a party or just hanging out, without getting tired.
