    Ingredients

    • butter unsalted (1 stick)
    • brown sugar (1/4 cup)
    • honey (1/4 cup)
    • eggs (2)
    • water (1/4 cup)
    • self rising flour (2 cups)
    • sugar confectioners
    • spiced rum (1/2 cup)

    Preparation mode

    Preheat oven to 350oF and greased 8 inch round pan.

    Cream butter and brown sugar in a large bowl , add  honey, eggs, water and rum. mix well, pour flour sifted over the creamed mixture and beat until all ingredients are combined,  pour the batter into pan.

    Bake for 30 minutes, or until a knife inserted into the center comes out clean.
    Let cake cool  on wire rack.

    To serve invert the cake onto a platter, sift confectioner sugar on top.
